UpdatePanel and back button problem

I am a newbie to the UpdatePanelControl, and have just learned of how the back button does not work because partial updates do not get registered to the browser's history.

This page discusses using the History Server control to address this issue, but given that it is still in beta (or whatever "futures" mean), I am not willing to risk my production server.

Are there other options so the user can use the back button to get to the partially updated page?

well, there are severa options here, but i think that i'd still choose the history control over them. getting a list of options is easy: just run it over google:

I am looking for what others think is the most viable option. I am worried about what installing the futures will do to my machine.

i understand your concern about the future bits and i'd probably do the same thing (ie, i wouldn't use it in any production project).the good thing about the history control is that it has code to support the available browsers...
